CLUB

Mrs. King & Mrs. Flowers, Advisors

This honor club requires exemplary behavior and a high academic average. A student must have a 93 or above in the five major academic subjects and no grade below an 88.

The Jr. Beta Club sponsors the popular Cougar Idol in the spring of each year.

HEALTHY SCHOOLS CLUB
Mrs. Johnson, Advisor
Healthy Schools Club is an organization for students who believe in a drug-free, healthy lifestyle. HSC members give their time and energy to projects for the school and community such as the annual Christmas Shop with a Cop program and other charities.
Club members are also involved with school recycling.

JAPANESE CULTURE CLUB

The Japanese Culture Club provides time for students to explore the Japanese culture through a variety of lessons/activities. Students are given the opportunity to learn about the culture in depth. They experience a basic Japanese culture introduction, create Japanese crafts, taste Japanese foods, and play/learn about Japanese sports. Students learn to pronounce many Japanese vocabulary words and phrases as well as producing writing by using the two Japanese scripts of Hiragana and Katakana.


MATH CLUB

In the Math Club, our goal is to encourage strong math skills by providing opportunities for students to engage in logical mathematical reasoning and critical thinking. During meetings, students participate in a variety of activities that are fun, yet involve higher level thinking.

CLASS OFFICERS

Class Officers are elected each year by their peers. Student elections are held at the beginning of the school year. Officers will meet with their Grade Level Team Leader at least once monthly. Class Presidents will meet with Advisors the remaining weeks of each month. Officers work on leadership skills while addressing school improvement issues and ideas on an ongoing basis.

C3 is a group of caring individuals who want to give back to the world that has given us so much. We will be making cards for soldiers who are deployed, presents for the elderly, collecting food for those in need, stuffing stockings for veterans, and many more philanthropic endeavors!

SPEED STACKING CLUB

Race against time and join the highly competitive sport of Speed Stacking. Use and strengthen your eye-hand coordination skills as you participate in this fast pace game against the clock. Speed Stacking, also known as Cup Stacking, can be played as a single contestant or with a partner. Ones who qualify participate in the play offs during our Cougar Idol talent show in the Spring.
